We have built systems for other people since 2018. Then we built one of our own — and learned the energy sector from the inside.
Innomenta AB started in Malmö in 2018 as a consultancy: apps, APIs, cloud, and the kind of software engineering other companies need but never have time for. That is still the foundation of what we know.
Then electricity got expensive. The 2022 price crisis turned the difference between consuming at three in the morning and six in the evening into real money — and made it obvious that solar panels and batteries are hardware waiting for good software.
In the summer of 2025 we wrote the first lines of Modbus code against an inverter. Today that is a complete energy management system called Aikion, controlling real installations. Getting there taught us more about energy than any consulting assignment would have.
That combination is what we offer now: a consultancy's craft and a product company's experience. We build software and AI for the energy sector, and we are glad to teach your teams to do it themselves.

Fredric has been building systems for twenty years and started Innomenta in 2018. An interest in hourly electricity pricing at home turned into solar panels, a battery and eventually Aikion — the code that controls them. He is CEO and still writes code every week.

Vladimir is co-owner and CTO. He owns Innomenta's technical direction and architecture: how we build, what we leave out, and what it takes for a solution to hold up in production rather than only in a demo.

A decision is only as good as the measurement under it. We read the hardware directly rather than trust a cloud that answers once a minute.
Optimization that only sees the next hour misses the point. A cheap night is worth something only once you know what the evening costs.
Forecasts are wrong. A system that cannot change its mind when the load drifts is a simulation, not a controller.
